Apparently they're called Pho Temple now. One of the most flavorful pho broths I've tasted. They also use a different type of chili that is very small, very hot, and has an interesting flavor.

Very cozy Asian restaurant with a friendly waitress. We all enjoyed our lunches.. my drunken noodles were just spicy enough although the pork was a bit tough. My husband's bowl of pho was so big he couldn't finish. Both my friends who travelled to meet us from New York commented on the generous portions and very reasonable prices.

Pho Ketkeo has firmly established itself as my go-to spot in New Haven for the best Pho and more. With its cozy and inviting (mom-and-pop style) ambiance, I've been coming to Pho Ketko since 2019. The standout star of the menu is undoubtedly their Pho. Each bowl is a fair balance of flavors, with a rich and aromatic broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and generous portions of tender meats. The broth's balance of spices and herbs is just right, providing a comforting and satisfying experience with every spoonful. It's the perfect hangover meal. 5/5. Their veggie spring rolls are a unique take on a classic, offering a fresh and flavorful start to the meal. Small portions, but still great. 4.5/5. For a heartier option, the drunken noodles stand out with their perfect blend of spices and generous portions, ensuring you'll have enough for a second meal. 5/5. The Thai dishes, like the coconut soup with shrimp, chicken, or pork, feel somewhat authentic and are also great options! 4/5. Service at Pho Ketkeo is exceptional. The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive, enhancing the dining experience with excellent service. The restaurant also offers a BYOB option, allowing you to pair your favorite beer or wine with their delicious offerings.

Great food and good prices, the drunken noodles were little spicier than usual, everything else was standard quality, service was friendly and fast, the space was spacious and clean, great asian food choice in the area

Solid Thai + Laotian restaurant in downtown New Haven. Like other reviews mentioned, the pho is not a Vietnamese-style pho - it's more Lao-style (slightly different flavor profile and a bit sweeter). The pho is reasonably priced and the portion sizes are huge! My partner and I usually share a medium, which is enough for both of us. One of my favorite starters on the menu is the nam khao. The rice is crispy, tangy, savory, spicy...so flavorful! It can get heavy especially if you're not sharing the dish with others, so wrap it in the lettuce leaves to keep it refreshing. The servers are very friendly but seem newer/inexperienced - there were a few times where the wrong order was brought to our table, the servers had to confirm our orders before placing the dish down at our table, and they forgot which pho we had ordered.

I don't know why I hadn't been here?! We walked by it all the time as we usually park in a garage nearby. Today we felt like pho and decided to give it a try. Pho was flavorful and the small portion is a big small. The appetizers were good. My favorite were the spring rolls. Definitely adding this to the rotation for the upcoming winter season.

Usually I collapse from hunger at some other restaurant before getting this far along Temple, and that's my loss. This casual-dining restaurant was terrific on all counts, from food to service, to the point of increasing my heretofore casual interest in this branch of cuisine. I had Tom Kha soup, which was enjoyable, and tamarind fish, which was a delicious discovery that motivates me to try the three-flavor fish next time. (Honestly, I now want to try almost everything on the menu.) Service was incredibly nice and swift. This may become my Asian go-to downtown now, as the experience was perfect.
